Louie Sutte Recognized as Pike of the Month

Louie SutteLouie Sutte (Cincinnati, Alpha Xi ’24) is the July 2026 Pike of the Month.

Entering his third year as a biomedical engineering student at the University of Cincinnati, Sutte currently serves as president of Alpha Xi Chapter. In his role, he leads a 13-man executive board, manages the day-to-day operations and $150,000 operating budget of a 170-man chapter, and works closely with university administration, alumni advisors, and Memorial Headquarters to ensure the chapter continues to represent PIKE well on campus.

Sutte was initiated as a freshman in 2024 seeking brotherhood and community but quickly found opportunities to lead and make an impact. Prior to becoming president, he served as House Manager, helping guide Alpha Xi Chapter through a major management transition to West Range Properties. He worked alongside West Range’s delegate to address maintenance concerns, navigate managerial challenges, and help create a stronger operational foundation for the chapter.

“Working alongside 13 dedicated brothers on the executive board has strengthened my bonds within the chapter and pushed me to grow immensely as a man,” Sutte shares.

As president, Sutte’s focus is on completing the final phase of the chapter’s $3.5 million “Pike’s Pavilion” expansion and continuing to build a lasting foundation for Alpha Xi’s future. Outside of PIKE, he serves as an official University of Cincinnati Roar Tour guide, welcoming prospective students to campus and sharing what makes the university special.

Sutte also brings his leadership and attention to detail into his academic and professional work. He recently completed a design assurance engineering co-op with AtriCure, where he managed a quality-inspection pipeline supporting a core medical generator build and assisted with regulatory and cybersecurity documentation. He previously worked as a research intern in Cleveland Clinic’s Neurology Department, contributing to a fall-risk study involving 200 older adults.

Through his work in the classroom, the chapter house, and the University of Cincinnati community, Sutte continues to lead with purpose and help move Alpha Xi Chapter forward.
