MEMPHIS, TN – Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce Xander Wells (Cincinnati, Alpha Xi ’19) as the June 2021 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.

 

Wells, a third-year student at the University of Cincinnati, was nominated for demonstrating superior leadership in his chapter, on campus, and in the community.

 

He currently serves Alpha Xi Chapter as vice president of membership development. Throughout his tenure, Wells founded the Garnet Dot Initiative, a program the provides SOS and QPR training. These programs help to educate and prepare members on warning signs and support strategies regarding mental health. He previously served the chapter as the mental health chairman.

 

As a student at the Carl H. Linder College of Business, Wells serves as the internal vice president of the Linder College Ambassadors. He is the president of Men 4 Mental Health, a Bearcat Buddies Tutor, and a Career Success Strategies teaching assistant.

 

Wells is a Tax Intern for the Kirsch CPA Group, assisting in creating individual tax income returns and 1099s.

He maintains a 4.0 GPA and presence on the Dean’s List.

 

Wells will graduate with a degree in accounting and a master’s in finance, in addition to a minor in psychology. He plans to pursue a career in financial psychology or public accounting.
