Jacob Sedlacek Recognized as Pike of the Month

Jacob SedlacekJacob Sedlacek (Texas, Beta Mu ’22) is the March 2026 Pike of the Month.
In the chapter, Sedlacek has served as house manager, recruitment chair, external vice president, and chapter president. His leadership has led to more established expectations and consistent decision-making that has shifted chapter culture to a more accountable, values-based system. He has focused on leading anti-hazing efforts by reinforcing educational expectations and encouraging the chapter to engage with both university and International Fraternity conversations about hazing. Sedlacek has also been influential in rebuilding the chapter’s relationship with alumni and parents. He built a strategy around frequent newsletter updates to stakeholders, overhauled the chapter’s financial structure to improve transparency, and helped reestablish alumni events to gather over 100 Beta Mu alumni together.
Sedlacek is graduating in May with a degree in business analytics. He is a member of the Horns Against Hazing Student Advisory Council. He currently serves as director of personnel for the Texas Trailblazers Leadership Program. He previously served as assistant director of recruitment for the Financial Literacy Club on campus. He is PIKE U Garnet certified.
“My time in Beta Mu has been a lot about growth. Freshman me would have never thought I’d be in the position I am today, having served the chapter in multiple leadership roles,” Sedlacek says. “It’s been one of the highlights of my college experience and has taught me a lot about putting in time and effort and seeing real progress over time.”
