MEMPHIS, TN – Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce Aramis Delgado (Texas Tech, Epsilon Gamma ’19) as the July 2021 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.
Delgado, a senior at Texas Tech University, was nominated for the years of wide-ranging service he has provided Epsilon Gamma chapter, his intense dedication toward helping others, and his generosity.
Aramis currently serves Epsilon Gamma Chapter as new member educator and member-at-large. Additionally, he has held positions such as public relations chairman, alumni relations chairman, and philanthropy chairman. Throughout his time in the chapter, Delgado helped create a public relations program and increased the chapter’s presence on social media. Using social media, he assisted in engaging with Epsilon Gamma alumnus members and reconnecting with lost alumni. Delgado has also organized giveback charity events for local Lubbock businesses, and helped promote local philanthropy events. In recognition of his varying services to the chapter, Delgado was selected by his peers as the 2020-2021 Epsilon Gamma Pike of the Year, awarded to one member of the 166-man chapter.
Delgado is an assistant in the Texas Tech Student Business Services Center, where he assists students with their financial needs. He maintains a 3.8 GPA, has been named to the Presidents’ List three times and the Dean’s List once.
Aramis will graduate with a degree in human development and family studies. This spring, he plans on working at his local hospital as an administrative assistant to prepare for his future career. Following graduation, he plans to pursue a master’s degree from Texas Tech in healthcare administration.
