Morgan Salter (Kansas, Beta Gamma ’24) is the January 2025 Pike of the Month. While reflecting on his experience as a leader in his chapter, Salter shared these words:
“Being a Founding Father has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Leading the charge in reestablishing our chapter and securing our charter in just one year was a challenge, but it showed me the power of brotherhood, leadership, and perseverance.
As chapter president, I have the privilege of managing an 11-person cabinet. I’m proud of my contributions to the chapter through creating our Moms Club and inaugural Moms Weekend, as well as helping fundraise $3,000 to support our education fund. While previously serving as Internal Vice President, I championed the Academic Success Program (ASP), which helped our brothers improve their GPAs and strengthened our chapter’s academic focus.
Pi Kappa Alpha has pushed me to grow as a leader, mentor, and professional. The experience has strengthened my passion for leadership, community-building, and personal development. These are skills I will carry with me far beyond my time at the University of Kansas.”
