Jake Owens (Old Dominion, Zeta Iota ’23) is the October 2025 Pike of the Month.

As the current president of Zeta Iota Chapter, Owens has been essential to the chapter’s success in recent years. This fall, the chapter welcomed the biggest new member class on campus, and largest in recent chapter history. Under Owens’ leadership, members have developed a stronger focus on giving back to their community and campus. In just one semester, the chapter has tripled their amount of community service hours.

Owens has also built out the chapter’s public relations and alumni engagement efforts. With an increased focus on updating alumni on chapter news and achievements, they have been able to strength the connection with Zeta Iota alumni. He has boosted the chapter’s social media presence with more frequent posting across platforms.

“Being able to help and watch this chapter grow has been a great part of my college experience. This opportunity has given me best friends and valuable memories,” Owens shared. “Every year we have seen improvements in all aspects of the chapter and I’m happy to be apart of it. Zeta Iota has a bright future and I’m excited to see us continue to grow.”
