MEMPHIS, TN – Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce Brenden Swanik (Delaware, Delta Eta ‘20) as the November 2022 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves, and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.

Swanik, a senior at the University of Delaware, was nominated for his leadership within the chapter, his commitment to his university, and his dedication in the classroom.

He has served the university as both vice president and chief justice of the student government association. He has been a member of the university’s faculty senate and currently serves on the president’s student advisory council. He is a student researcher and publication author for the biomedical engineering program.

Within Delta Eta Chapter, Swanik has led his brothers as vice president of membership development. He was instrumental in the creation of membership development lectures and curriculum for the chapter.

He maintains a 3.9 GPA and a presence in the honors program. He is also the recipient of the Dwight D. Eisenhower United States Military Academy Leadership Award and the Delaware Space Grant Consortium Award. He has interned for both NASA and Axiom Space.

Swanik is pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering. He plans to attend graduate school for astronautical engineering and global space policy.
